The Security of Wireless Networks

Here are my thoughts about the security of wireless networks.

For your security WPA2 wireless network as follows:

1. Upgrading the firmware of your wireless router to the latest firmware. Made Linksys wireless router and Dlink in the past two years have WPA2 firmware Compatiable Ababil.

2. Download the patch for Windows XP WPA2

3. Charge your wireless adapter is the most up-to-date firmware.

4. Once your new firmware and drivers, restart your wireless router and a computer.

5. Now go to your router W-LAN interface, go to the Security tab, and select WPA2. You've mixed the possibility WPA2, WPA2 and WPA2-RADIUS. WPA2 mixed, you can use either TKIP or AES encryption. WPA2 uses AES standard only. Home users should use WPA2 or WPA2 Mixed. Enter your password and log off.

6. Some wireless adapters will not allow that to run Windows XP confifuration zero utility to WPA2. Many companies use their third party software support for WPA2. This often happens when you use Windows 2000 or adapatation previously used. To choose to configure your keyboard Properites wireless network adapter, and select Configure the desired network. Select the same option that you have selected WPA2 on your wireless router and enter the password.

7. Remember that your password compicated as possible to prevent brute-force attacks
